2014 MBL Day 2 Top Performers:

Mark Freeman – Freeman filled up the stat sheets with his performance on Day 2 with 17 pts, 5 rbs, 6 asts, and 3 stls. Mark took over the game at times with his scoring and defense. He almost sent the game to OT with a three from the corner, but it was off the mark.

Noah Wright – Wright had the challenge of guard the other team’s big.  He did okay, but Noah helped his team with handling the ball in the open-court and stretching the defense by hitting 3s. Wright was 3 of 4 from behind the arc, finishing the game with 14 pts and 3 rebounds.

Trey Davis – Davis wasn’t going to be out done, he did damage in the game against the Tar Heels. He looked good attacking the rim and shooting the ball from the perimeter. His stats: 14 pts, 4 rbs, 2 asts, and 2 stls. Trey’s team also got the win.

Bruce Guy – Bruce pretty much had his way in the paint. With his size and strength he was able to grab 11 boards and score 17 pts. Most of his scoring, if not all,  was in the paint. Guy will be difficult to keep off the boards.

Tayson Parker Parker had a dominate performance for day 2 of the 2014 MBL. He scored 17 pts, 10 rbs, and 6 stls/blks. Plus he caused a turnover and drove full-court to make the game winning lay-up at the buzzer.

Alvin Miles – Miles led the league in scoring for Day 2 with 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Great showing on his debut game. The Bearcats lost the game on a buzzer beat lay-up by Tayson Parker (Buckeyes). FINAL 49-48

Joshua Mariencheck – Mariencheck led his team in scoring and lived on the offensive boards. He was one rebound away from recording a double-double. Josh had 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Ernest Smith – Smith had a breakout performance for day 2 of the MBL. He seemed determined to put the ball in the goal. With teammate, Chandler, in foul trouble most of the game, Ernest stepped up big for his team. He had 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Melvin Jackson – Jackson scored in bunches for his team on day 2. He got hot and was able to score 8 points in under a minute in the last minutes in the game against the Red Storm. Melvin was a huge factor in the Warriors getting the win

Dallen Hayden – Hayden continued his dominate play for day 2 of the 2014 MBL. He’s a double-double machine. At times, Dallan seemed unstoppable driving to the rim. He recorded another double-double of 18 points and 14 rebounds, but came up 2 points short against the Warriors.
