A look at what’s to come Monday in high school sports coverage for Jan. 27 …

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Today is another loaded day for high school sports, particularly in boys basketball with new area and statewide polls, plus recaps of weekend highlights in several sports.

Here’s a rundown of what you’ll find on cleveland.com today and tonight. Look for these Morning Announcements posts every Monday through Saturday to set you up for the day in high school sports.

Highlights of what’s being posted today at cleveland.com/hssports:

The new cleveland.com boys basketball Top 25 will go live at 1 p.m. this week – we need a little added time after a late Sunday night at the six-game Dunk 4 Diabetes Shootout in North Canton. (See all the stories, photo galleries and videos that were posted Sunday here, and click this link for all of Saturday’s coverage).

Check back a little later at 6:30 p.m. when the new state polls are released by the Associated Press.

Then at 7 p.m. we’re pleased to offer another live video chat on all things boys basketball with beat reporters David Cassilo and Tim Bielik. Visit the website at 7 p.m. to see a video chat with the reporters, and be sure to send in your questions for them during the chat.

Meanwhile, we’ll be getting fans caught up on all the top weekend highlights in girls basketball, wrestling and hockey.

Also today, we debut the winner of the first weekly contest where fans are deciding which boys basketball game we broadcast. All last week, fans voted on which Friday game they want us to send our broadcast team to. The winner will be announced online today.
