Colorado flooding is wreaking havoc on high-school sports events

KUSA – With the rain and floods continuing to prompt school cancellations along the Front Range, many high school athletic events scheduled for Friday are getting postponed.

Many of the games are being rescheduled for Saturday or Monday. Others are still undetermined. One of the biggest games that is on hold is Estes Park versus Lyons, which are two towns that have been hit hard by the floods.

Also postponed is Poudre vs. Boulder, which is scheduled for Saturday night. Currently set to play Monday are Loveland vs. Broomfield, Longmont at Westminster and Frederick at Berthoud.

The Liberty Bell Invitational, which is the biggest cross-country meet besides the state meet, is still scheduled to run Friday afternoon at Heritage High School in Littleton.
