If convicted, 39-year-old Todd Boldry, who works as a teacher at Knox (Ind.) Middle School, faces up to six years in jail for the sexual misconduct allegations.
Boldry faces preliminary charges of child seduction and official misconduct. He is accused of having an inappropriate relationship on high school grounds with a 17-year-old student.
According to WNDU.com, the encounter began in fall 2007 when Boldry began sending text messages to the victim, a high school junior at the time.
The inappropriate physical conduct allegedly began that December and continued through August 2009, when the victim says she became pregnant.
She gave birth to her son in May 2010 and since then, a DNA test reportedly indicated Boldry is the child’s father.
Under Boldry, the Knox Redskins won three sectional championships and a regional championship. He resigned after last year’s season.
