The Meadowdale Sports Booster Club hosts its annual FUNding! Sports fundraising event this Saturday, May 10 at Edmonds Community College.

The event, from 7-10 p.m. features an evening of inspiration, entertainment and fun with Phil Rognier, a local legend in the Washington sports community, who will talk about raising athletes who raise the bar on life.

Rognier is a Coach’s Coach with over 30 years as an instructor, motivator and coach. He has influenced thousands of athletes to be their best on and off the field. He counts Meadowdale athletes and alumni among his students.

His foundation, First Swing, seeks to build up athletes here and around the world. He brings his experience as a former professional athlete as well business entrepreneur to intrigue and inspire. “The underlying belief of our mission is that sports is a process that affords each youngster an opportunity to learn the “lessons of life.””

Hear how the Boosters have provided equipment and safety gear over the years. At the conclusion of the event, there will provide an opportunity to donate directly to the Sports programs that support athletes.

Tickets for the event are $40/person, which includes admission to the reception, snacks and program. Every ticket comes with a Booster Buck, which may be used for beverages, games and the dessert auction. Additional bucks may be purchase online or at the door.
