Setting up the high school sports coverage for Friday, April 11, 2014: Morning …

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Here’s what to expect on Friday from the Northeast Ohio Media Group’s high school sports staff:


Reporters Stephanie Kuzydym and Lexi Pluym roll out another edition of the weekly Extra Innings podcast. Representatives from Elyria Catholic and Gilmour Academy join this week as guests.

Pluym also takes a look around the diamond this weekend, as she breaks down all of the baseball action that is on the horizon for Friday and Saturday.


Reporter Mark Kern gives you your softball fix with a roundtable discussion with some of the local players in Northeast Ohio. You’ll get to know these athletes’ off the field habits.


Reporter Bill Landis debuts his first camp update by taking a trip to Benedictine. He’ll fill you in on everything that has went down with the football team since the season ended.

Landis will also be asking fans to submit questions for his weekly Three and Out Q+A. Landis will answer whatever you want to know about the football scene.

Boys tennis

Reporter Nathaniel Cline will be asking you what you want to talk about on next week’s boys tennis podcast. Make sure your voice is heard.
