CLEVELAND, Ohio — Saturday is filled with a lot of wrestling and basketball action.

The 12-person cleveland.com high school sports staff has you covered day and night with a full slate of coverage to get you ready for today’s big games, as well as box scores and recaps later this evening.

Look for these Morning Announcements posts every Monday through Saturday. They will give you a rundown of what will be posted that day and night at cleveland.com/hssports in all sports, as well as links to the previous day’s coverage.

Here’s what to expect Saturday:


We’ll fill you in on our boys and girls basketball playoff preview show, happening on Feb. 17 at Harry Buffalo in Cleveland.

Tim Bielik will have a recap of all of Friday’s boys basketball action.

Saturday features a full slate of girls basketball action. Stephanie Kuzydym will have coverage as No. 11 Stow travels to No. 3 Solon. Mark Kern will be on hand to see No. 7 Lakewood take on No. 15 Elyria Catholic.

We’ll also post statewide boys and girls basketball scores Saturday night.


Scott Patsko will have coverage from the Northeast Ohio Conference championships at Garfield Heights. Nate Cline will be at the North Coast League championships at Padua. Freelancer Michael Fitzpatrick will cover the Chagrin Valley Conference championships at Aurora.

We’ll have a recap of all of Saturday’s wrestling action.
