The winter high school sports season officially ended on Sunday as two Central New York basketball teams competed in the state Federation tournament.

Both the Westhill boys and the Notre Dame girls won their tournament championships in Albany.

Westhill wrapped up its perfect season on Sunday with a 65-46 win over Regis High School of New York City in the Class B Federation Tournament of Champions at the Times Union Center.

Jordan Roland had another breakout performance, scoring 30 points and being named the tournament’s most valuable player. Tyler Reynolds added 17 points.

So what’s next for Roland? Track and field field season.

In the girls Class B championship game, Notre Dame thumped Staten Island Academy 67-39. Emily Durr muddied through a rough shooting game but still scored 27 points.

Durr finishes her career with 2,445 points at Notre Dame. That makes her Section III’s all-time leading scorer. She previously broke the record of 2,367 points held by former Cicero-North Syracuse star Breanna Stewart, now a star for the University of Connecticut.

She’s now off to Iowa State to play basketball.
