The Storylines

Spreading the wealth?

Jackson’s talent at receiver, namely Trey Robinson, Alek Baumgartner and Keynan Foster and others, means junior QB Alex Cheesman needs to find ways to get the ball distributed as the Timberwolves defend their division crown.

It’s a Small(ey) World

Kai Smalley arrives from out of state to take over as coach at 4A North Snohomish for Mark Perry, who has moved into an administrative role as athletic director.

New commodity

4A South Cascade got what second-year coach Joe Cronin hopes will be a big boost with the transfer in of quarterback Josh Smith, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound senior, from Florida. “We just got him WIAA-approved,” Cronin said. “I’m glad he’s here.”
