Going into the Championship Game, the STALLIONS were the clear favorite to win it all. Rightfully so, the Stallions undefeated and just beat the ROADRUNNERS by double-digit 61-50 early in the day. While the Stallions were resting after punching their ticket to the SHIP, the Roadrunners had to battle the LYNX to get into the SHIP. The Roadrunners beat the Lynx 40-38 on a last-minute lay up by Kenneth Payne at the buzz.

I told the players before the championship game, Do what you do best. If you’re a shooter, shoot the ball. If you bang the boards, then do that. If you play lock-down defense, then play defense and we’ll win.  – Coach Taylor

It was a battle from beginning to end, with the Roadrunners grabbing the title 56-54. Howard Gray led the Roadrunners in scoring with 21 points, hitting 5 three-pointers in the game. Takori Rooks added 18 points and 11 rebounds. The Stallions leading scorer in the game was Sylvester Thompson with 20 points, follow by Simmie Jones with 16 points.
