The first game of the afternoon was the Future Stars Game, that featured rising 6th graders. This game was highly competitive with the Future Stars “Home” team taking the victory by 2 points (46-44). The game MVP went to Jonathan Lawson, with a game high 21 pts.
Impact Players of Game
Willie Foreman – Foreman is one the top prospect in this class. He has a strong frame, very athletic, and has a good basketball skill set for his age. He finished the game with 14 pts, 4 blocks, and a ton of rebounds.
Kennedy Chandler – Chandler is next inline on a long list of Memphis top guards. Chandler has good speed and great court vision. He fits the mold when you talk about Memphis’ best guards.
Jonathan Lawson – Lawson has good handles and sees the floor well. He also is good at finishing around the goal. Lawson was able to get the win for his team and secure the game’s MVP title.
Fabian Nelson – Nelson is big player in a small package, he plays the game without fear. He was able to get around bigger defend with his crafty handles and shoot over taller guys in the paint with his floater. He was a crowd pleaser, for sure.
Jacob Roberts – Keep Roberts on your radar, he’s a baller. Roberts does it all, from scoring the ball, grabbing rebounds, and locking down defenders. He plays the game the way it supposed to played.
