Congratulations to the 7th grade Memphis wareagles!

Commentary by Biigjoohn from 901prepscoop

The Memphis war eagles 7th grade team had a fantastic season this year. Coming off a top 3 finish in 2011 the memphis war eagles were excited about 2012. Starting the season with a final 4 finish at the coach t classic, then a runner up finish at the war eagle invitational the war eagles seemed ready to make a run for nationals. The war eagles would go on to win the real deal in the rock, sub state, and state championships as they rolled. The team finished 2nd at the NoLa super 60 and seemed ready for the nationals. Ready they were, the war eagles finished 3rd in the nation for the 2nd time in a row, losing a heartbreaker by 3 to the national champion CBC. The team was able to overcome several struggles throughout the year but rose to the top as eagles do!

The players and coaches worked hard and deserve it:
Chase Hayden, Tyler Harris, Blake Williams, Noah Pope, James Babb, Aarin Strother, William Douglas, Derrick Craig, Lemarius Carnes, Jack Heathcott, and Joshua Gray. Coaches Aaron Hayden, Blake Williams, Greg Stewart

Great job everyone

Special shout outs to Frank Harris, all the parents, and supporters

Good luck to the other teams as their nationals approach
