The schedule doesn’t offer many playoffs games tonight, but all of them sure do matter.
Tonight’s MLive.com high school sports postseason spotlight is on 32 girls regional championship games and the two Division 2 state hockey semifinals.
The boys basketball district semifinals got most of the attention Wednesday night with about 240 games across Michigan. Our stories and photos are MLive’s boys basketball page, and our boys district brackets are a great guide to all of the action.
But tonight’s focus is different. For girls basketball, we’ll have up-to-the-minute updates on the MLive scoreboard page all night long, and stories and photos on the girls basketball page after the action.
Tonight’s hockey is the D2 semifinals matchups between Muskegon Reeths-Puffer/Hartland and Trenton/Warren de la Salle, starting at 5 p.m. at The Compuware Arena in Plymouth. The D1 and D3 semifinals are Friday, starting at 11 a.m., and the finals are Saturday.
MLive will be providing up-to-the-minute semifinal hockey scores from the arena, and have lots of hockey coverage later on – including a photo gallery by MLive’s Mike Mulholland from every game in Plymouth.
Basketball are hockey are only part of the postseason slate this week. We have the state boys swimming and gymnastic championships coming this weekend.
Here are postseason brackets for girls basketball and hockey. Besides the matchups and scores, they also connect you with all of the information we’ve collected on the teams so far this season.
