High school sports highlight reel: Top performances from last week

Christine Alftin, Woodside volleyball: Alftin had 31 kills to help Woodside to a five-set victory over Burlingame.

Spencer Barnes, Leigh football: Barnes completed 10 of 13 passes for 238 yards and four touchdowns to lead Leigh to a 30-12 victory over Gunderson.

Nick Bisconti, Menlo water polo: He had three goals, including the winner, a penalty shot in the final minute of an 8-7 win over Menlo-Atherton in a matchup between PAL Bay Division leaders.

Julia Bounds, St. Francis cross country: She finished first in her race and seventh overall out of 1,477 runners at the Clovis Invitational with a time of 17:54.

Kava Cassidy, Serra football: Cassidy rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns in 11 carries, leading a ground attack that gained 304 yards in a 50-3 victory over Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Justin Cena, Monta Vista football: In a 41-8 win over Lynbrook, Cena rushed for 216 yards and three touchdowns in 23 carries.

Ava Enjavi, Pioneer tennis: Enjavi took a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 1 singles as the Mustangs defeated Oak Grove 7-0 and improved to 8-1 in league play.

Matt Mohs, Leland football: Mohs had eight receptions for 85 yards, half on third- and fourth-down conversions, and also had two interceptions and broke up two passes in a 37-14 win over Piedmont Hills.

Isiah Nash, Menlo-Atherton football: Nash rushed for 232 yards and two touchdowns in 27 carries and returned an interception 40 yards for a TD in a 31-19 victory over South San Francisco.

Becca Raffel, Palo Alto volleyball: Raffel had 24 kills as Palo Alto defeated Los Altos 3-1 to move into a tie with the Eagles for first place in the SCVAL De Anza Division.

Keith Samujh, Aragon football: Samujh ran for four touchdowns in a 41-10 win over Capuchino.
