Setting up the high school sports coverage for Friday, June 6, 2014: Morning …

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Here’s what to expect on Friday from the Northeast Ohio Media Group’s high school sports staff:

It’s a busy day in baseball and it all starts with the Extra Innings Podcast which features NDCL pitcher Ryan Falls.

Later in the day, North Royalton and Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin both will try to win a spot in the state title game.

The Inside Roll podcast is out again this Friday and this week’s guest is Chagrin Falls coach Crispin Napolitano.

Later in the day, reporter Robert Rozboril will be scouting the Division II state semifinals.

Track and field

It’s the first day of the track and field state championships, and our team of Joe Noga, Tim Bielik, Scott Patsko and Nathaniel Cline have you covered. There will be live updates, aggregation posts and of course results of how all the local teams are doing.

After a busy Thursday, there are two more state semifinals with local teams on Friday. Cuyahoga Heights and Manchester will be trying to clinch a spot in the state title game, and we’ll have live updates and game stories.

Thursday’s coverage from the high school sports staff:
