Setting up the high school sports coverage for Friday, May 9, 2014: Morning …

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Here’s what to expect on Friday from the Northeast Ohio Media Group’s high school sports staff:


Reporter Bill Landis continues his spring campus stops with a trip to St. Edward. He’ll look at where they stand heading into next season.

Also, Landis will be reporting from the college announcement of Keystone tight end C.J. Conrad, who is one of the top prospects in the state.

Competitive balance

Reporter Scott Patsko continues his look at competitive balance proposals in Ohio. This time he looks at how it could impact public districts with multiple schools.


Looking for who plays who in the postseason for softball? We’ll be unveiling our brackets tomorrow so you can easily look through them.


Reporter Stephanie Kuzydym takes a look an off-the-field look at Mentor pitcher and Louisville recruit Kade McClure.

Track and field
