Weather Alert: Updated list of school closures, canceled high school events …

Snow canceled most Oregon high school athletic events Thursday night and it looks like Friday will be more of the same as schools across the state remained closed because of the winter weather. Take a look at the list of cancellations below. We’ll update this list throughout the day as more high school sporting events are cancelled and rescheduled.

All Portland Public Schools are closed on Friday along will all other schools in Multnomah County (Centennial, Parkrose Gresham, Reynolds, David Douglas and Corbett districts). Sherwood, Forest Grove, Gaston and Tigard-Tualatin districts as well as all Washington County high school have also cancelled all sporting events. Benton, Lane and Linn county schools are also closed on Friday. Clackamas, Columbia, Marion, Polk and Yamhill county schools are closed Friday. All sporting events and activities in the Salem-Keizer district have been cancelled through the weekend.

In Southern Oregon, all Jackson County schools — including the Medford and Ashland districts — are closed on Friday. For more on cancellations check out our closures page for updates as they happen.
